Learn how BillChamp POS collects, protects, and manages your business registries and customer transaction records.
At BillChamp POS, we are committed to safeguarding your business operations and your customers transaction data. This policy outlines our engineering guidelines and compliance principles regarding how data is managed within our cloud and local offline databases.
We collect information necessary to provide, maintain, and optimize our Point of Sale system. This includes merchant details (business name, email, phone, physical location), device registration details (hardware identifiers, browser tokens), and operational billing transactions processed through your terminal channels.
Security is built into our core framework. Your databases are protected by AES-256 bank-grade encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 encryption in transit. Our tokenized checkout architecture guarantees that customer credit card numbers never touch your local physical memory or our cloud synchronization nodes directly.
When billing offline, transaction caches are securely stored inside your hardware device's local sandboxed memory database. Once connection is restored, these records sync automatically with our centralized databases via encrypted multi-layer authentication keys, preventing any potential data leaks.
BillChamp does not sell, lease, or distribute your customer or inventory data to third-party advertisers. Data is shared exclusively with authorized merchant services (such as your chosen card processors, ERP nodes, or PMS connectors) as configured by your administrative specialists.
Our infrastructure aligns strictly with PCI-DSS Level 1 specifications. We conduct biannual external audits and continuous vulnerability scans to guarantee compliance. Merchants retain complete ownership of all customer records and can request secure, consolidated CSV data exports at any time.
